The Garmin GT15M-IH is a powerful 600W Mid-Band CHIRP in-hull transducer designed for installation inside solid fibreglass boat hulls. It is an excellent option for anglers and boat owners who want strong traditional CHIRP sonar performance without installing a transducer through the hull or externally on the transom.

Operating across a CHIRP frequency range of 85–165 kHz, the GT15M-IH provides excellent depth capability, good target separation and clear fish arches, making it particularly well suited to coastal and offshore fishing. Garmin rates the transducer for depths of up to 549 m / 1,800 ft, although actual performance depends on water conditions and the connected sonar unit.

Important: Traditional CHIRP Only

The GT15M-IH is primarily a traditional Mid-Band CHIRP transducer. It does not provide Garmin ClearVü or SideVü scanning sonar by itself.

Product Description

Because the transducer is mounted inside the hull, there is no transducer protruding below the boat and no transom-mounted transducer exposed to damage. This also makes the GT15M-IH a particularly attractive option for faster fibreglass boats where maintaining a reliable depth reading while underway is important. Garmin specifically describes the model as suitable for high-speed fibreglass boats.

The GT15M-IH uses an 8-pin Garmin sonar connection and is designed for compatible Garmin fishfinders and chartplotters.
