The ARK Prawn Solo Adventurer PR 245 is a compact, lightweight one-person self-bailing inflatable raft/canoe or kayak, depending on your definition, designed for adventure, fishing, river exploration and recreational paddling.

Weighing only 8 kg and packing down to approximately 50 × 35 × 35cm, the Prawn is exceptionally portable and is ideal for anyone wanting access to waterways that may be difficult to reach with a conventional kayak or boat. It can be carried into remote fishing locations, rivers, dams and waterways and quickly inflated when you reach the water.

ARK describes the Prawn as an expedition-grade raft, designed to provide freedom, speed, agility and ruggedness in a very compact package.

NOTE: One of the nice aspects of the Prawn is that ARK also offers various customisation possibilities, including additional D-rings for securing equipment, Railblaza fittings, custom branding/lettering and a backpack-style carry bag.

Product Description

ARK has designed the Prawn around a combination of performance, comfort, durability and easy portability. Larger-volume tubing is positioned around the rear seating area for support and stability, while narrower side tubes provide improved paddle clearance and manoeuvrability.

The Prawn is paddled much like a kayak and incorporates ARK's innovative "sting in the tail" tracking system, which drags a small skeg to help the raft maintain directional stability while paddling. An inflatable floor and snug-fitting tubes provide a comfortable platform for extended periods of exploring or fishing.

For anglers, adventurers and travellers looking for a highly portable personal watercraft, the Prawn provides an interesting alternative to a conventional inflatable kayak. Throw it in the vehicle, carry it into a remote location and explore water that may otherwise be difficult to access.
