It is a requirement that Personal Floatation Devices(PFDs)/Life vests be worn when paddling in the ocean off a kayak or SUP. When in lakes, dams and estuaries, PFDs are not compulsory, however, safety should be the number one factor to consider. Children should always be wearing suitable and appropriate safety vests and PFDs and under supervision of adults.
